Spanning 40 km (25 miles) along the Danube River in Austria, the Wachau Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for terraced vineyards, medieval castles, and apricot orchards. This scenic route blends history, wine culture, and breathtaking river views.
Begin in Krems, a historic wine town with cobblestone streets and the Kunstmeile Krems art district. Fuel up here, services are sparse in smaller villages.
